Spotify Volume Control While screening candidates: The Faster Way
Fine-tune volume with the mouse wheel over the popup.
💡 Overview
Volume is the most-adjusted setting in any listening session. Music has to stop for every screening call, then start again afterwards.
Hover over the mini-player and scroll the mouse wheel to raise or lower the volume in small steps, or drag the slider for precision. A mute toggle remembers the previous level so you can silence a track and bring it back to where it was. The popup also supports the M key for mute.
🧭 A Day of Recruiters
Resumes, an ATS and interview calendars crowd your day.
The problem: Music has to stop for every screening call, then start again afterwards.
The fix: Use play/pause as your call start and end ritual with one repeatable shortcut.
🚀 Try It in Three Steps
- Open the popup from the toolbar.
- Scroll the mouse wheel over the player to adjust volume.
- Press M or tap mute, then unmute to return to the previous level.
✨ What You Get
- Four default hotkeys: Shift+Alt+Up toggles play and pause, Right skips, Left goes back and Down pauses only.
- Zero-polling design: A MutationObserver updates the UI only when the page changes, keeping CPU and memory use low.
- Device quick-switcher: One click to the Spotify Connect device drawer from the mini-player header.
