Spotify Volume Control While producing music: The Faster Way

💡 Overview

Volume is the most-adjusted setting in any listening session. Switching to the Web Player to reference a track interrupts the session.

Hover over the mini-player and scroll the mouse wheel to raise or lower the volume in small steps, or drag the slider for precision. A mute toggle remembers the previous level so you can silence a track and bring it back to where it was. The popup also supports the M key for mute.

Your DAW is for your own music, but you may still reference tracks in Spotify while you work.

The problem: Switching to the Web Player to reference a track interrupts the session.

The fix: Use seek in the popup to jump to a reference section without leaving your DAW.

1. Open the popup from the toolbar.
2. Scroll the mouse wheel over the player to adjust volume.
3. Press M or tap mute, then unmute to return to the previous level.
