Spotify Keyboard Shortcuts for Recruiters
Four default hotkeys that cover almost everything you do with music while working.
💡 Overview
Recruiters rarely want a music app; they want four actions. Play or pause, next, previous, and a safe pause. Resumes, an ATS and interview calendars crowd your day.
Spotify-Web Playback Controller ships with defaults you can remember without a cheat sheet: Shift+Alt+Up toggles play or pause, Shift+Alt+Right goes to the next track, Shift+Alt+Left goes back, and Shift+Alt+Down pauses only. The pause-only key is deliberately one-way, so you never start music by accident when you meant to stop it.
🧭 A Day of Recruiters

The problem: Music has to stop for every screening call, then start again afterwards.
The fix: Use play/pause as your call start and end ritual with one repeatable shortcut.
