Spotify Focus Analytics for Translators
Local listening and focus time insights that never leave your device.
💡 Overview
If music is part of how you focus, it helps to see the pattern. Source text, glossaries and a CAT tool compete for screen space.
The dashboard shows a focus time counter for daily and weekly listening, a seven-day activity chart and leaderboards for top artists and tracks. The extension states that this data is stored in local browser storage with no external trackers, and that nothing is logged in Incognito mode.
🧭 A Day of Translators
Source text, glossaries and a CAT tool compete for screen space.
The problem: Music with lyrics in a language you translate can interfere; pausing quickly matters.
The fix: Keep a pause hotkey ready and skip songs whose lyrics clash with the language you are working in.
🚀 Try It in Three Steps
- Open the dashboard from the extension.
- Check the focus counter and the seven-day chart.
- Use the top artists and tracks lists to find your best focus music.
✨ What You Get
- Zero-polling design: A MutationObserver updates the UI only when the page changes, keeping CPU and memory use low.
- Playback speed 0.5x to 2.0x: Presets at 1.0x, 1.25x, 1.5x and 2.0x, locked across track changes.
- Shortcut profiles: Standard, one-handed WASD, compact Alt+arrows and function-key presets.
