Spotify Focus Analytics for High School Students
Local listening and focus time insights that never leave your device.
💡 Overview
If music is part of how you focus, it helps to see the pattern. A worksheet and a calculator are open next to a music tab.
The dashboard shows a focus time counter for daily and weekly listening, a seven-day activity chart and leaderboards for top artists and tracks. The extension states that this data is stored in local browser storage with no external trackers, and that nothing is logged in Incognito mode.
🧭 A Day of High School Students
A worksheet and a calculator are open next to a music tab.
The problem: One click on the music tab often turns into video scrolling.
The fix: Never open the tab; use the popup, a hotkey and nothing else.
🚀 Try It in Three Steps
- Open the dashboard from the extension.
- Check the focus counter and the seven-day chart.
- Use the top artists and tracks lists to find your best focus music.
✨ What You Get
- Dynamic album-art backdrops: A blurred, color-adaptive background drawn from the current artwork, in dark or light theme.
- Zero-polling design: A MutationObserver updates the UI only when the page changes, keeping CPU and memory use low.
- Playback speed 0.5x to 2.0x: Presets at 1.0x, 1.25x, 1.5x and 2.0x, locked across track changes.
