Spotify Connect Device Switcher for Exam Candidates
Jump playback between the Web Player and other devices.
💡 Overview
Sometimes the right speaker is not the one in front of you. Practice tests and flashcards demand unbroken concentration for long stretches.
The mini-player header includes a one-click trigger for the device drawer, which lets you switch playback between the Web Player, desktop, smart speakers and phone. You can move music to another room without opening the Spotify tab.
🧭 A Day of Exam Candidates
Practice tests and flashcards demand unbroken concentration for long stretches.
The problem: Even a short detour into Spotify can turn into a lost half hour.
The fix: Limit the music tab to a single pinned tab and treat the popup as your only interface.
🚀 Try It in Three Steps
- Open the popup and use the device icon in the header.
- Pick a device from the drawer.
- Return to the Web Player the same way.
✨ What You Get
- Four default hotkeys: Shift+Alt+Up toggles play and pause, Right skips, Left goes back and Down pauses only.
- Zero-polling design: A MutationObserver updates the UI only when the page changes, keeping CPU and memory use low.
- Mouse-wheel volume: Scroll over the player for fine volume steps, plus one-tap mute memory.
