Note-Takers and Journalers

Skip Songs Without Leaving Your Work While taking notes

Change tracks with a keystroke, not a window switch.

💡 Overview

A bad song at the wrong time is a small tax on concentration. Reaching for a music tab mid-lecture means missing a point.

Next and previous track are bound to Shift+Alt+Right and Shift+Alt+Left by default. The extension passes the command to the Web Player in the background, so the song changes while your work window keeps focus. There is no flash of another tab and no lost cursor position.

Lectures and calls run while you type and organize.

The problem: Reaching for a music tab mid-lecture means missing a point.

The fix: Use pause-only for lectures and keep volume down with the scroll wheel.

🚀 Try It in Three Steps

  1. Press Shift+Alt+Right the moment a track stops helping.
  2. Press Shift+Alt+Left to jump back to the previous track.
  3. Use the popup if you want to see the track and artwork before choosing.
