Skip Songs Without Leaving Your Work While preparing for exams
Change tracks with a keystroke, not a window switch.
💡 Overview
A bad song at the wrong time is a small tax on concentration. Even a short detour into Spotify can turn into a lost half hour.
Next and previous track are bound to Shift+Alt+Right and Shift+Alt+Left by default. The extension passes the command to the Web Player in the background, so the song changes while your work window keeps focus. There is no flash of another tab and no lost cursor position.
🧭 A Day of Exam Candidates
Practice tests and flashcards demand unbroken concentration for long stretches.
The problem: Even a short detour into Spotify can turn into a lost half hour.
The fix: Limit the music tab to a single pinned tab and treat the popup as your only interface.
🚀 Try It in Three Steps
- Press Shift+Alt+Right the moment a track stops helping.
- Press Shift+Alt+Left to jump back to the previous track.
- Use the popup if you want to see the track and artwork before choosing.
✨ What You Get
- Floating mini-player: Popup with play, pause, next, previous, shuffle, repeat, seek and a Liked Songs toggle.
- Mouse-wheel volume: Scroll over the player for fine volume steps, plus one-tap mute memory.
- Four default hotkeys: Shift+Alt+Up toggles play and pause, Right skips, Left goes back and Down pauses only.
