Skip Songs Without Leaving Your Work While working in coworking spaces
Change tracks with a keystroke, not a window switch.
💡 Overview
A bad song at the wrong time is a small tax on concentration. When someone taps your shoulder you want music off, now.
Next and previous track are bound to Shift+Alt+Right and Shift+Alt+Left by default. The extension passes the command to the Web Player in the background, so the song changes while your work window keeps focus. There is no flash of another tab and no lost cursor position.
🧭 A Day of Coworking Members
Shared rooms mean headphones and quick silence for calls.
The problem: When someone taps your shoulder you want music off, now.
The fix: Use pause-only the moment someone starts talking to you.
🚀 Try It in Three Steps
- Press Shift+Alt+Right the moment a track stops helping.
- Press Shift+Alt+Left to jump back to the previous track.
- Use the popup if you want to see the track and artwork before choosing.
✨ What You Get
- Device quick-switcher: One click to the Spotify Connect device drawer from the mini-player header.
- Zero-polling design: A MutationObserver updates the UI only when the page changes, keeping CPU and memory use low.
- Playback speed 0.5x to 2.0x: Presets at 1.0x, 1.25x, 1.5x and 2.0x, locked across track changes.
