Global Hotkeys for Spotify Web Player: A Guide for Project Managers
Make your shortcuts work even when Chrome is minimized.
💡 Overview
Chrome extension shortcuts normally work only when Chrome has focus. Let the extension find the Spotify Web Player for you instead of scanning your tab strip.
Chrome lets you change a command scope to Global, which makes it respond even when Chrome is not the active window. The extension declares four commands, and each can be set to Global at chrome://extensions/shortcuts. The default state is not global, because that is a choice Chrome leaves to you, so enable it for the commands you want.
